What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday137

While I was looking at some blog posts today, I found an interesting papercrafting site called Stamping Ground.  Every Wednesday followers post pictures and a description of what is on their workspace.  It's fun to see the wide variety of workspaces, crafting interests, and organizational styles that are posted.  I thought I'd put my space up this week.  I have a great craft room, but spend most of my time working at the dining room table, where I can really spread things out.  Usually it is a disorganized mess!   I've been making Valentines to deliver to the retail stores I sell my cards at, so I have a bunch of heart themed stamps and papers around.  I am taking the online card class called Clean and Simple Cards by Jennifer Maguire, and was trying out some CAS cards.  My cat Tucker was snoozing right on top of a bunch of stamps, but woke up to have his picture taken.

Here is the card I was working on.  I scored a few lines on the cardstock, and stamped a woodgrained heart across the card front.  I tried out a new sentiment from Unity Stamps, "Love is all you need", thought that my husband would like that, since he is a big fan of the Beatles.  The heart stamp is from Stampin" Up.

  2. Love the furry supervisor you have there! I usually have a dog or two underfoot when I'm crafting. Curious about how you got your cards into retail stores. I've been thinking of approaching some local stores, but not sure how to structure that. Feel free to email me if you'd like to share. Thanks!

  10. Sorry I missed your debut on WOYWW, Barb! I'm usually a regular, but haven't been at all well since Christmas and it's gone by the board a bit, but hopefully back on line again now! Love your kitty - we have 2 grey tabbies who like to photobomb shots when they can!

Having had a poke around your blog, I see you like hearts! They are so decorative, aren't they, and lend themselves so well to many different designs. You've got a real eye for shape and form, and use of white space, and your cards are really stylish. Hop over to my friend Lynette to see her wonderfully simple, stylish cards - I always admire her work! She's here: http://mystampingaddiction.blogspot.com/
