Need for Speed

The challenge over at Less is More is called the "Need for Speed".  I don't have lots of vehicle stamps, so I went with my sailboat. Since it had to be one layer, I stamped it on watercolor paper and then painted around it.  We used to own a sailboat when we lived on a lake, and I can remember how fast we could zip across Spofford Lake.  When the wind died down, it was a whole different experience, and we would drift around for a while until it picked back up.  Fun memories!
I'm also linking with Simon Says Stamp, where the theme is Transport, and The Dedicated House- Anything Blue Friday.

  1. Hello there Barb, A very beautiful card, lovely water colouring. Lucky you, how fabulous to have a boat of your own, sounds like loads of fun, Gay x

  2. This is fantastic water coloring, Barb! I can imagine when the wind really blows, you can take off like a rip across the waters. You must miss it, but how blessed to have had the experiences!!

  3. Gorgeous water coloring, love that stamp...its a classic! Beautiful card!!

  4. Being married to a (now former) sailboat racer, I'd say this is a perfect image for the theme! Beautiful background you've created for this lovely image.

  5. This is absolutely stunning! Gorgeous card! Thanks so much for playing along with us over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog!
