This canning jar from Unity is so much fun to fill. Over at the Moxie Fab World Cath asked us to use 10 embellishments, so I filled up my jar with buttons. I have jars of buttons on my craft shelf that look just like this! This stamp jar can be filled with hearts, bees, sunshine, lizards, fairies, hugs and kisses, so many possibilities! I made the background paper by using spray inks. I am also popping this over to the Shabby Tea Room where the challenge is "Cute as a Button", Simon Says Stamp "Anything Goes", and on Friday I will link up with Unity's "Friends with Flair".

Winter Day Photo and WOYWW
Today is the day we share what is on our workspace over at Julia's Stamping Ground Blog. I haven't had a chance to take part lately, and I sure have missed it. My workspace is in transition, I am trying to move it off my dining room table and back into my craft room, where everything is piled in a heap, so there is nothing to show you right now. Instead, my workspace has been my laptop over the last few weeks, because my photo class has started up again. In class we are working with our teacher and the group on building our own personal photo collections. I was lucky to spy this beautiful barred owl flying into a tree on my ride home from work the other day. Luckily, I had my camera with me, and this is the shot I got. I've heard them hooting in the woods by my house, but this is the first time I've been able to photograph one. How do you like it?
Be sure to check out WOYWW over at Julia's and see all the creative spaces from all over the world.

Moxie Mini
Cath over at Moxie Fab challenged us to create a Itty Bitty card that was 3 x 3 or less, so this is my first entry, which comes in right at that size. The one I am going to post tomorrow is much smaller. I used some Stampin Up markers, which I applied to an acylic block, and used a blender pen to color it in. The sentiment is from Ali Edwards, and the birds are from Stampin Up. It fits in with the CASual Friday Challenge to use markers.
Have you tried making any mini cards? Let me know how you did, and leave me the link to your blog, I would love to take a look.
Thanks for stopping by, and please leave a comment if you can. I'll visit back for sure.

Wheely Fun Birthday
This bicycle stamp from Unity has so many great details, and to bring them out I colored in each section with markers, and then stamped it. I would love to go for a bike ride right now, but instead I am huddled by the pellet stove! This one layer card is for the Less is More Sports or Exercise Challenge, and I am also going to link up to Unity Friends with Flair.
I love to read your comments, and hope you will consider becoming a follower of my blog if you already aren't.

Adjust the Sails
This is one of my favorite sentiment stamps, and I love how it looks combined with the sailboat stamp. It brings back memories of when my husband and I were first married and lived at Spofford Lake in New Hampshire. We bought an old sailboat and fixed it up and had so much fun sailing all over the lake.
I added some Twinkling H2O's on the waves and on the sails to give them some depth. It's a little difficult to see in the top photo, so here is a close up.
Less is More is looking for cards with a Sports or Exercise Theme, and CASology is looking for blue CAS cards this week.

Some Birdy Loves You
I always enjoy the challenges at Less is More, but for some reason this card took me forever to make. Part of the reason may be that I am trying to keep all of my cardmaking suppies in my craft room instead of all over the dining room table, and I can't find anything that I need. Time for a major overhaul! This week's challenge at Less is More and at Simon Says Stamp is to use black and white with a splash of color. I used the colors in this dress over at Runway Inspired, love that bit of blue against the white. I might change up the colors and made some with a red bird for Valentine's Day cards.
I am also going to post this on a fun blog, Make it Pretty Monday at The Dedicated House. Bloggers post all kinds of interesting projects there.
Thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment if you can, and I will be sure to visit you back.

Thank You Birds
These 2 little birds were fun to paint in. I love the way they are perched with a heart over their heads, I think they are love birds! I used the Freshly Made Sketch this week, just turned it horizontally
and I am entering this in these challenges-

Chalkboard Technique
I have been wanting to try the Chalkboard Technique ever since I've seen so many great examples in blogland. I used some of my Hero Arts sentiments that have a variety of fonts and placed them all on a clear block, and tried different arrangements until I found one I liked. Instead of embossing the words, I used a white Adrondack Snow Cap ink. After stamping, I went back and filled in a few spaces with flowers and hearts. To give the shadowy chalk effect, I used a white colored pencil right next to the stamped images, and made a little smear of "chalk" here and there.
This was so much fun to do, I will definitely be making more of these cards!
There is a great tutorial on Betsy Veldman's blog, Paper, Scissors, Superheroes.
Have you tried this yet? Let me know if you have, I've love to see what you made.
Lots of challenges are looking for you to try a new technique or use some new supplies. Join in the fun!

Sending Love Your Way
I was inspired by the Tuesday Trigger "Sweet Dreams" over at the Moxie Fab World to put together this card. I love the subtle color combination! This is such a tranquil bedroom.
I am trying out a sketch from Sketchbook Saturday with a little modification. I am also linking up this and the next 2 projects over at Ellen Hutson's LLC Classroom, where they want to see projects made with Hero Arts Stamps. This cling stamp set, Four Hearts is for the Hero Arts Cling Make and Take Challenge. I am also linking up to A Blog Named Hero- New Year, New You, since this is the first time I have used the embossing folder that has the same geometric design as the rug.
The next card uses the same "Sweet Dreams" color palette, and the butterflies are from the Antique Engraving Clear Set. I use those butterflies all the time. There is a spray of gold on the background, and some of that shade of purple from the rug in the inspiration photo. This is for the Hero Arts Make and Take Clear Stamp challenge.
The last project is from the Hero Arts Sparkling Holiday set. That is the cutest little Christmas Tree. This is for the Hero Arts Cling Make and Take Stamp challenge.
Here's a closer look at the bejewelled tree.
Thanks for stopping by. I am excited that my 1 year blog anniversary is coming up. I've been having a great time, and so appreciate all my followers!
